I had such a great time photographing with an amazing group ladies on my team!  In celebration of Día de los Muertos we had a photo shoot that was absolutely amazing!   You can get more information about the differences between Halloween vs Día de los Muertos by going to Muy Bueno BLOG along with some amazing recipes to help celebrate the holiday… like yummy Persimmons Margaritas and Pumpkin Empanadas!  It is nice to give everyone a little look into other cultures and traditions.  I was  lucky to be able to show this through the eyes of Yvette in memory of her grandmother.  It really is a beautiful and meaningful holiday. This is simply a very huge THANK YOU to all of my clients, family & fans that helped vote me into the top of the list making me one of the top 5 photographers in Denver 2010.  I’ve been in the beautiful studio nearly a year and surrounded by inspiration – it has truly been a monumental year for photography in my life.  It is very humbling that so many of you have sent me messages and encouraged me with your kind words all year, as being in the business for over 21 years now – it is really nice to know that there is still room for growth and new friends along the way.  I can’t wait to spend 2011 photographing for you and your loved ones from the beautiful brides to your growing families, and businesses.  We have some huge projects in the works coming up from the MUY BUENO cookbook that Yvette is working on, a wedding in Mexico again… and a list of beautiful ladies that are due very soon with their newborn babies in the coming months, and a few modeling projects planned too.  I am very proud to photograph for all of you.

I have had the chance to photograph for Jay Beckerman of Blue River Bistro in Breckenridge a few times over the last month, and it has been quite the pleasure photographing for both Jay and his partner Mark (of Vita in Denver) over the past few months.   Blue River Bistro is set on Main Street in Breck right as you enter town, so if you are ever up in that area, please stop by for lunch, dinner or drinks – everything is fantastic.  Best of all, they have really wonderful live jazz and blues music – and you can check out the live music dates right on their website at blueriverbistro.com.  Their wine and liquor selection is amazing and it has a very elegant atmosphere and amazing cuisine.

Dinning area: 1515 Restaurant Lodo Denver

I photographed for Gene’s restaurant 1515 some years ago – and it was so nice to see him and his wife again yesterday.  We spent some time photographing some new plates created by chef Chuck James and they looked beautiful.  And later tasted the new dishes – a must visit for a night out for sure!

Vita’s stylish yet unpretentious atmosphere, Modern American menu of small plates and entrees, and versatile wine and cocktail offerings combine with moderate prices to present the ultimate dining experience. I photographed some of their newest additions to the menu this past week… and this place is a must visit if you are in the Denver area.  I was impressed with the presentation, food quality, variety on the menu, and the drinks were fantastic.  I’ve personally dined their 3 times now and have been impressed with the upscale yet laid back feeling… and loved the drinks too.

Some of the items that stand out on their menu are:  Serrano Ham wrapped Mahi Mahi, Moroccan Chicken, Crab Cake Appetizer, 7-Hr. Pork Appetizer, Strawberry Fields Salad, Grilled Hearts of Romaine Salad, & their Club Sandwich.

Outdoor sessions are usually such a cinch in Colorado, but I have been fighting it this year having to reschedule shoots because of the constant forecast changes.  Well, finally… we had a little break and Kari White (model) and I headed up to the foothills for some running and biking shots.  Some of the “wear” you see here is from www.mapmyfitness.com (visit it… hint hint).  Regardless – it turned out to be a perfect morning with some beautiful clouds and just enough sun popping through to let the mountains show themselves for a few images – before the down pour of rain came later that afternoon!

I have been lucky enough to have a few days spent photographing some beautiful models in the Denver area the past couple months.  Since moving into my new studio in Denver it has been nice to “play” a little instead of 100% serious client work… I’ve take time for some fun sessions, modeling sessions, & have been loving meeting new models and spending time photographing for fun with other photographers around the area too.  It helps me break out of the box and get some fresh creative energy flowing so that I get more ideas for the photo shoots I do every week for my clients and allows me to put some new fresh images into my online galleries too.
